After surprising them at the airport the activities began immediately. The first day we all went ATVing, to a counter terrorism interactive demonstration, and a winery. ATVing was nuts, Dad drove with Mom and I drove with Sarah we were in Gush Etzion traveling through the Judean desert. Next we went to a counter terrorism interactive demonstration and it was life changing. We got to hear stories of how army units protect their citizens from terrorist attacks, we got to see what would happen in a god forbid attack, and we got to shoot real live huge army guns. Afterwards we went to a winery for a tour and beautiful fish dinner - we were joined by Shaked. The next day (Shabbat) in the morning and early afternoon we spent our time in an archeological site digging - we found pieces of pottery as well as bones! We went home and had ten minutes to get ready. We went to Palema's house a lovely evening with an army unit of 50 combat soldiers (no complaints). Sarah and I went back the next night for the Havdalah service. On Sunday we went to Tel Aviv where Sar had a bit of an allergic reaction but don't worry she was ok! The next day was a full day traveling through many different part of Israel including the desert, parts of the West Bank, Tiberias, Golan Heights, and the border of Syria. We sightseed, hiked, rode camels, went to the lowest point on earth, went to a chocolate factory, saw historic platforms like the tomb of Rachel, and of course ate. The next day unfortunately I can class most of the day but for our final night we went for a great dinner in the first train station before I sent the fam back to America.
