Purim in Israel
Purim in Israel is unexplainable but i'll give it a shot. The whole Jewish population of the country participates. From the orthodox to the secular Jews everybody dresses up and celebrates in the streets. The week of Purim bus stops in Jerusalem were decorated. Teachers and school staff wore ears and costumes. Little kids were costumes for days straight. Different stores lined up on the streets were blasting music selling costumes. On Thursday I went to Tel Aviv. If I thought Jerusalem was covered in the Purim spirit Tel Aviv was another story. On that Friday we went to Monochrome where there were DJ's and the party went from day to night. The next day was the big street party in TLV. From one day old babies to the elderly in wheelchairs the whole city was participating in Purim. What a site to see. The party started in the early afternoon and was music and food for all ages all day. It was a day of dancing and celebrating with others.
